Ron Macorix was born in 1899 into the Carrión family in the city of San Pedro de Macorís, a place considered by many to be a land of poets, artists and sugar cane.

Description 

Macorix Gran Reserva is inspired by the original 1899 recipe. Carefully aged, formulated and bottled bringing with it the essence of the coastal towns of San Pedro de Macorís Gran Reserva is the perfect balance between the traditional and the modern.

Gran Reserva is the best example of mature rum; the complexity and distinctive flavour profiles are achieved with the most difficult and sophisticated selection process, the standardization of the product is achieved through intense tasting and proper aging.

 Color:  Darker amber, more intense, a little more cloudy, the result of more years in barrels.

 Body: Wider arches, liquid that takes longer to drop, there are
mayor cuerpo

Smell: Greater intensity in the notes compared to Gold, with more honey, caramel, grass and a very special touch of wood.

Hands: Intense wood, some chocolate, spices, honey and vanilla.

Flavor: Pleasant, balanced sweetness, creamy, woody, vanilla and honey notes.
